Our Adoption

Not much to report right now. All our paperwork is in to Hanoi and we are waiting to get word to travel. The last estimate was that we would hear towards the end of July. These are some long summer months right now.

Robin and I have been taking a parenting class at Lehigh Valley Hospital. It has been fun, eye-opening and at time a little daunting. The stories from our classmates have been invaluable and we feel even better about our preparedness.

We have started to pursue a Pescatarian diet. Long story short, it is important to us to share meals at the dinner table. Since VN has a lot of fish in the diet, and since we want to make sure we can give Hien a good diet to grow on, we decided to change. We even went to the Vietnam Palace restaurant in Philly last week, thanks to some of Robin's co-workers. The food was great!

We have Hien-Olivia's room just about all set. A few minor details need to be done, but I think we did a great job. My next post should have a photo or two. We are hoping to take a laptop to VN when we go, and hopefully do daily updates.

I added a couple of info links to the right about Vietnam. ------>>>
We recently rented a National Geographic Travel video. It looks like a truly exotic place and we are truly fortunate to get the chance to visit.
