FAMILY!!!
We went for tea with the deputy directors at the orphanage yesterday. The today we had a ceremony at the HCMC courthouse with the Director of the orphanage and the Deputy Chairman of the POJ. And made small talk with the Head Director of the POLISA. Based on these three activities and months of paperwork :) they agreed to let us adopt Hien-Ollie!!!
It is amazing! Rich and I have never felt this way before. It feels incredible.
The Pictures: One is of Hien-Ollie who decided she needed to help me fix my hair this morning. And there is a picture of her in her dress eating cheerios (love the cheerios) and finally a picture of us directly after the ceremony. I edited out the officials because we do not have permission to publish their pictures on the web. Other families have had trouble because they posted pictures of people without their permission. When we get back, you can all see the unedited version if you want. The last picture I call "Stop the Press!" I am sure you see why.
Thanks for all of your thoughts and your wonderful responses to our emails and blog. We can't wait for you to meet Hien-Ollie. She is very sweet and very smart, she has already learned how to use a sippy cup! She loves music and dances every time she hears some. She blows kisses and makes funny faces. She is a wonderful little girl We are so lucky to have her in our family.
Ok, gotta go. We are packing for our trip to Ha Noi tomorrow to get Hien-Ollie's passport and Visa.
Cheers!
